e2e is also a fantastic way to meet new people, share experiences and make new friends especially for those who don’t find a job on leaving school. You’ll also get a taste of the world of work through work placements.
There’s no specific time period for completion of the programme and initially only a minimum of 16 hours per week study is required. This builds to a maximum of 30 hours per week over time.
Beneast has its own designated e2e learning centres in Blackpool, Fleetwood, St. Annes and Preston. Much of the training will take place in one of these centres with some of the learning based in local workplaces – these could be outside, as well as in offices.
For the actual training, students are taught as adults on a one-to-one basis, or in small groups. It’s not at all like school!
The Education Maintenance Allowance, or EMA, is payable for students on the e2e learning programme. This pays £10, £20 or £30 per week depending on circumstances.
