What are Pathways?

 

Pathways are part of Foundation Learning for young people aged 14-19. They offer you a personalised opportunity of exciting and rewarding learning focused on what YOU need. Progression from a Pathway can be an Apprenticeship, a job with training or further education.

 

Pathways will help you get hands on work experience, gain skills, get started on a career and you can meet new friends.

What will your Personalised Pathway look like?

 

No two Pathways are the same, they are based on what you need, below is an example of some of the experiences you can have.

 

You’re a Pathways student, learning new things, with us behind you, you can choose what you want to learn. This is learning split into bite-sized chunks; do enough of them and it helps build up to a Level 1 qualification. This can then build up in some cases to a Level 2 qualification before you know it...

 

Level 2 qualifications are well recognised by employers. Young people who are working towards these qualifications or those who have them are often on the top of an employer’s wish list.
