With the increasing focus on developing the employability
skills of young people, and with the Government asking more of
schools to ensure all young people have a sound grounding in
Key Skills, Beneast has developed a range of first class support
for teachers.
Our short courses and support activities utilise our extensive
experience and are based on years of helping young people to
prepare them for the world of work.
The following activities can all be accessed through Beneast
to support teaching staff as they prepare to meet the challenges
that the new 14-19 Agenda poses.
A basic introduction to Key Skills to get you started on introducing
this into your curriculum – including an overview of what
Key Skills are, why they were introduced and the benefits to
schools and students.
In addition you’ll also learn about the levels, equivalent
values and what Key Skills consists of.
These sessions will take a more in-depth look at each of the
awards in turn, and will ensure teachers have a thorough understanding
of the requirements at each level.
Building effective portfolios is an essential part of achieving
Key Skills awards, and these sessions will give a detailed explanation
of the requirements for each award at the different levels.
We will fully explain standards and provide after care in
the form of checking.
A full explanation of what is involved for teachers
seeking to embed Key Skills into the current curriculum, alongside
detailing essential steps for effective integration.
Beneast provide facilities for online testing of students.
